Due to construction of the Eastern Busway, Buranda busway station will be closed from 8pm Friday 25 July to 5am Monday 28 July 2008.

Routes 111, N111, 120, 130, N130, 135, 140, 150, 170, 180, 250, N250, 555 and N555 will be affected by this closure. Read more, including the location of temporary bus stops and associated service changes.


From Monday 4 August 2008, public transport fares in South East Queensland will increase by CPI 3.9% to support rising costs. There will however be improvements to the go card pricing structure, providing a minimum 20% up-front discount to users and an attractive frequent user scheme. The Ten Trip Saver tickets used on Brisbane Transport buses/Council ferries will also be withdrawn from this date.
